Location: Columbia River Gorge
I had scouted this location a couple of times before attempting to capture a sunset image. This particular evening didn’t seem all that promising as I headed out. Even while the sun was setting and dipped below the horizon it still wasn’t looking too good. I had started to pack up but then decided to give it just 10 more minutes. After all I had driven all the way out there, hiked a bit to get to this exact spot, what’s a few more minutes? What’s a few more minutes indeed. Two minutes after I had almost started heading back the sky erupted in shades of purple and orange causing the Washington side of the gorge to start glowing. This photo won the Friends of the Columbia Gorge 2022 photo contest’s Scenic Western Gorge category.
Unless requested otherwise, each print is printed on lustre paper with a 1-2″ white border. The white border is part of the print size so the actual image size will be slightly smaller. Each print will include a signature in the bottom right corner and a title in the bottom left corner both on the white border just under the image. If you prefer no signature and title on the front of the print, want a borderless print, or a different paper type just let me know in the order notes.
